I have calls at least once a week on consigning "Beanie Babies" I do not consign Beanie Babies. I finally came across this video that best explains why some beanies have value. HOWEVER those crazy numbers on Sold items on Beanies are all considered an untrue sales or a cover up for something else not so honest. Top 3 Selling Antique/Vintage Kitchen Hand Tools
Recently I was given a box of vintage to antique kitchen tools. I thought I would share what I found to be the top 3 higher selling items. Now this will stay in the hand tool category not including the larger coffee grinders, we all know they can get very pricey. These are your more commonly found everyday hand tools that you could easily find at any Estate Sale or yard sale.. Seasoned resellers know but if you are starting or adding to a collection or new to reselling -keep your eyes open a $3-$5 purchase could easily turn over a $50-$75 profit.
1- Food Chopper- a primitive wood handle steel blade food chopper range from $40-$89 confirmed sales.. watch for blade condition as well as the wood handle should appear to be original not a replacement.
2-Knife Sharpening Steel most with the wood handles inspect steel rod for nicks or breaks and watch for names like Rogers Bros, Pike, Winchester & Foster Bros, having confirmed sales ranging from $20-$50.
3- Egg Beater every kitchen had one, from a basic metal whisk to a fancy automated gear driven marvel....watch for the rare PD & Co all cast iron coil wire whisk from late 1800s you may pay more for this rare gem but with confirmed sales of $331-$500, I would not argue.. even your more common vintage egg beaters sell for $20-$40.. it is all about condition.
so when on your next hunting expedition take another look at those rusty old kitchen tools. Turning a $3-5 purchase into $40-$90 is a smart investment.
What a great way to spend 3 minutes of your day.... coming up with new ideas.

be safe and remember to welcome our teenagers... Don’t tell them they’re too old. They already know that. Let them pretend it just isn’t so. and there is so many worse things they could have elected to do with their night.
I am 60 years old and wish I could dress up and go door to door again... You Know What! :-)maybe next year I will but I will "treat" the homeowner with a little something... I like that idea!
We always have sooooo many picture frames at our sales and many go unsold even at 25c -1$ on our last day.. when I ran across this video I just had to share. please share any ideas you have come across in our comments section. enjoy

The final 600+ photos, we have been working hard clearing out the trash and finding treasures in this antique hoarders -4000 sq ft warehouse. We plan to have everything priced by the time the sale begins but with over 100,000 items there is no doubt will will have missed something, plus the family is suppose to bring us apx 10 more boxes from his personal home that we will not even get to see until 3/14... soooooo...... there are items that will not even be shown in photos... Please BEWARE, I can promise you everything is dusty to sometimes even dirty, bring gloves with you if you want. some narrow paths and watch your step at doors and into the container.

PARKING- there is plenty of safe off the road parking OUTSIDE the gate, please park outside the gate off the roadway, it is a short walk up. There will be limited Handicap parking & Pick UP only thru the gate closer to the building.
SIGN UP- I will post a sign up sheet at 8am at the gate on Thursday & Sunday only, gates will open at apx 8:55 and we will line up according to sign up sheet at that time closer to the building. Doors opening promptly at 9am. NO EARLY BIRDS
PURSES- please NO large purses, keep your purses to 6" or smaller and keep them zipped for your protection.
SHOPPING TOTES/BAGS- as always you are welcome to bring your own shopping bags in order to keep our items close at hand while shopping. Please have them empty and folded upon entering and you may be asked to provide a receipt when leaving, please get your receipt when checking out.
GROCERY BAGS- we always welcome your donated grocery bags for use at checkout, also in need of newspaper for wrapping. thank you in advance
NOT FOR SALE- anything behind plastic coverings ARE NOT FOR SALE.. these are private personal items that had to remain in place please respect this and stay out.
REMOVAL & PICK UP- as you will see we are packed in.. we are requesting IF AT ALL POSSIBLE to plan on picking up your larger items between the hours of 1pm-4pm during our slower times... 3 of the Large Industrial steel racks will be for sale, after purchasing you will need to schedule a day/time to disassemble and remove the week after the sale.
HOLD TABLES- will be outside the building but I recommend starting your own little pile anywhere outside within our orange fenced off area and I highly recommend you bring an extra person to watch your stash... there is no way any of my staff will be able to keep up with this.
CHECK OUT- will be under a tent outside and to help this process go faster, place your items only to YOUR LEFT of the cashier after it is rung up, Debbie will place it to your right of cashier, the table to the right of cashier is a DIY wrapping and bagging. I have learned over the years I either wrap to well for some and not well enough for others so I allow you to wrap to your liking plus this held the check out line go faster. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR RECEIPT AS YOU WILL BE ASK TO PRESENT YOUR PAID RECEIPT AS DEPARTING.

Here is a video on replacing the light in a Bubble Light... it really was the best I could find but if you get thru the "nonsense" it is good. I would be prepared to click forward to 1:46 to begin the info and still occasionally to filter thru some not so needed parts... I definitely agree with the dremel tool over another video using a saw blade but I would also make a mark to line the 2 halves back together so the cut edges will fit the best...

These units were introduced for small apartment/city life.. you can plug in your toaster in the built in receptacle and close it up when finished with your meals to sit down at your desk to pay your bills.
What a great kid's table at the holiday meals!
Item is in good solid condition with everything operating properly. It has never been refinished and has surface scuffs and scratches... the only place I have found broken is on the glass wood trim/overlay located in bottom
left window pane (see photos) it is all there just needs some tlc.
She does need a good dusting/cleaning... sorry just didn't have a chance to do so.

In our sales we always seem to have many leftover-not-so-pretty mirrors and also plenty of Christmas Ornaments all headed for the thrift stores or auction house. I think I have found a new love!..
These mirrors are so beautiful and great fun to create... I do not believe another "tutorial" is required just a few tips heading in the right direction..
Determine whether you want to hang vertical or horizontal or plan for both!... never know what might change your mind. Secure the hangers or wires on the back of the mirror, then tape off the mirror face and paint in a coordinating color. When paint has dried your can begin to embellish. Remove the ornament caps and use play dough or putty to begin placement of your ornaments, adjusting as needed to give you the look and feel that suites you. Do not forget texture along with colors. Have a flat snowflake? or even a partial broken one add it behind an ornament. Ok, when you are happy with your preliminary design grab your old faithful hot glue gun and start gluing one ornament at a time, while removing the putty... Be patient allowing glue to set and then if you are like me I just can not leave a spot unfilled or a that extra bit of glue exposed... add snippets of garland and or run a string of bead garland in, out and around...
